using a large stock pot with some kind of wire rack at the bottom is fine.
cover the jars with a couple inches of water with the lids firmly closed (but not toooo tight).
then cover the lid and get it to a good rolling boil - you're recipe may specify, but probably about 25 minutes from the time boiling starts for that chutney.
