Runny pecan pie

MY WIFE USUALLY MAKES THIS GREAT BOURBON PECAN PIE BUT RECENTLY WHEN COOKING TWO PIES FOR HOLIDAY PARTIES THE PIES CAME OUT A LITTLE RUNNY, THEN SHE COOKED THE PIES LONGER BUT STILL RUNNY, GREAT FLAVOR, GREAT CRUST, THE TOP BROWNED NICELY,BUT STILL A LITTLE RUNNY ANYBODY HAVE ANY THOUGHTS ON WHY THIS HAPPENS. THANKS!
