raspberry liqueur

I made 16 large jars of sweet black raspberry syrup with part of my crop of berries. My problem is that I now have an abundance of syrup which I am not sure how long its shelf life is. I would like to know if I can make a raspberry liqueur out of this syrup. Or is there anything else I can do to with this other than give it away (I already have given much of it away) or dump it, which I really don't want to do.
