Knives

I am interested in purchasing a new set of basic kitchen knives. So far, the best deal I have been able to find has been a set of 4 Professional "S" series Henckel's knives for about $135 (shipping included - it's a store in Europe and the price is approximate due to exchange rates, etc.). The set includes an 8 cm paring knife, a 20 cm slicing knife, a 16 cm bread knife, and a 20 cm chef's knife. Does anyone have any suggestions for other places to look, or other brands to look at? I have priced out Wusthof-Trident and have not found a comparable set for anything close to this price. Also, any opinions on these two brands?
